Access Counseling Group Announces New Executive to Lead Expansion of Mental Health Services in Aransas County

Rockport, Texas — Access Counseling Group has announced the creation of a new full‑timeExecutive Directorposition as part of its commitment to expanding mental health services for children, adults, seniors, veterans, and families across Aransas County.

The new role will guide organizational growth while providing direct therapeutic services, strengthening Access Counseling Group’s ability to meet rising community needs.

“Aransas County residents deserve accessible, high‑quality mental health care close to home,” said the Board of Directors. “This position represents a major step forward in building a comprehensive, community‑rooted behavioral health system.”

The Executive Director will oversee strategic planning, program development, staff supervision, and community partnerships with schools, churches, early learning centers, libraries, veteran organizations, and immigrant‑serving agencies. The role also includes providing 15–20 hours per week of direct counseling services.

Access Counseling Group is currently expanding service hours, developing new programs for youth emotional wellness and digital safety, and strengthening support for couples, seniors, and immigration‑impacted families as well as telehealth.

Access Counseling Group is a community‑based behavioral health organization dedicated to providing trauma‑informed, culturally responsive care to individuals and families across the lifespan.

Spring R. Perry is co-founder of The Rockport Pirate and a mission-driven executive leader with over a decade of experience in education, nonprofit strategy, and organizational development. Working on her PhD in Industrial-Organizational Psychology, she holds a master's in Secondary Education from Grand Canyon University and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of New Orleans. Through her consulting firm, Time to Spring Forward, LLC, she has secured hundreds of thousands in grant funding and served as a strategic advisor to schools and nonprofits nationwide. Spring has served on numerous nonprofit boards and brings the same community-first commitment to The Rockport Pirate, where she drives operations and keeps the publication rooted in the people it serves.
