There is a quiet exodus happening in Aransas County. Not one of the moving vans loaded with furniture or tearful goodbye parties on the front porch. This exodus is slower, more invisible, and in many ways more devastating, the steady trickle of teachers, nurses, waitstaff, and city workers who love this community but simply cannot afford to stay in it.
