Local Photographer Donates Historical Canvas of Copano Bay Bridges

June 08, 20261 min read

A local photographer has donated a large-format canvas print to be displayed in the new Aransas County courthouse. The 48-inch by 32-inch piece, titled "The Triplets," captures a rare moment when three different bridges spanning Copano Bay were all standing simultaneously.

The donor, who previously worked in the courthouse, noted that the photograph was taken just one week before the older structures began to be dismantled. The donation is valued at $300. Commissioners accepted the gift and plan to find a prominent location for the piece to honor the coastal area's history.
