Coastal Bend Child Development Center Celebrates Chamber of Commerce Ribbon Cutting Ceremony and Classroom Expansion

Coastal Bend Child Development Center marked an exciting new chapter with a Chamber of Commerce Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on Thursday, August 20, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at its campus located at 922 Hwy. 35 South.

The ceremony celebrated the completion of two new classroom spaces that expand the center’s school-age program, allowing Coastal Bend Child Development Center to serve even more children and families in the community. The campus first opened in October 2022 and earned National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) accreditation in just 3.5 years—an achievement that highlights the center’s rapid commitment to excellence.

With the expansion, the school-age program now serves children beginning as young as kindergarten through age 12. As a faith-based, NAEYC-accredited early learning center, Coastal Bend Child Development Center proudly serves children from 6 weeks through 12 years of age. Through play-based learning, a nature-based curriculum, experienced educators, and a nurturing environment, the center remains dedicated to helping every child learn, grow, and thrive.

Community members, families, and local leaders joined the celebration and toured the newly completed classrooms.
