My Thoughts on Living Alone for the First Time Ever
Yes, I know, I have been living a sheltered life, but here are my thoughts of living alone for the first time.
Any advice from those who already are used to it will be appreciated. My son Brian, his wife Sally and
my grandson Joshua are staying with me since my wife of 56 years passed on. They will be moving out
soon when their new house is finished, so this will be a new experience. I have compiled a list of pros
and cons on this situation and I will share it now .
Pro… I will no longer have to shut the bathroom door. Con… None
Pro… I can fart anytime loudly with no consequences. Con… None
Pro… less dishes to wash. Con… I will be the sole dishwasher.
Pro… Can play music as loudly as I want to. Con…None
Pro…Can have all meat diet no veggies if wanted. Con…None
Pro…Lots more room to cook Con…Will have to do all the cooking
Pro…Can dress less or go completely Necked Con...Maybe not a good idea, a neighbor
thing
Pro…Have to wash my own clothes Con… No change there
Pro…Less cleaning to do Con…No Sally to help clean
Pro…Can season food like I want Con…None
Pro…Can fix more fried things, less veggies Con… that cholesterol thing
Pro…Don’t have to say where I am going Con… none
Pro… Don’t have to explain why I was gone so long Con…Was nice to thing someone cared….
Pro… Can spread all my work on the kitchen table Con… Will still have to clean it for company
Pro… Can ask a date over anytime. Con…No dates, so no problem.
Pro… None for tech help…. All Con … No more in house tech help, I may ruin my computer and lose all
phone use ability. That about sums it up. Any suggestion from those experienced will be appreciated.
Thought for the day: The more that you weigh, the harder you are to kidnap, eat cake, stay safe.
